There will be a very short downtime (just a reboot) to put a new kernel into place on the two machines, Thebes and Memphis, which comprise our shell.cs.utah.edu service.
Thebes will be rebooted at 18:00 and Memphis will be rebooted at 18:30. The downtime should be just a few minutes, but be prepared for a bit longer should the filesystems need checking during boot. |

We lost a 48 port board on the 3rd floor west switch last night. It has been replaced with a spare. If you noticed loss of network activity on the 3rd floor on the west end, this may very well be the suspect.
All ports on that board should be active again. However, if you have a system still without network, please email support@cs and we will look into the matter. |
