Rome has developed a problem with the RAID controller and so /uusoc/scratch/rome is offline. We're working on effecting repairs, but don't have an ETA. We'll send out email as soon as progress has been made.

On this coming Friday, February 1st, there will be a facility-wide downtime starting at 5pm. This downtime is necessary in order to relocate UPS devices in our main machine room, MEB 3555, which will allow us to free up space for the installation of new equipment/servers. The downtime will begin at 5pm, and we hope to complete the move by 7:30pm. |

We'd like to announce the availability of new shell servers. You can connect to them via ssh'ing to newshell.cs.utah.edu. Please test them out as they will be replacing shell.cs.utah.edu on Friday, February 8th. The current shell servers will be renamed to oldshell.cs.utah.edu on that date and will remain active until Friday March 14th. |
