NOTICE: The date for the scheduled power outage has been changed from July 16th to July 23rd.

 

On Tuesday, July 23rd, all power to the Merrill Engineering Building will be cut, from 06:00 to 14:00 to perform major work on the buildings transformers.

This is a total loss of power to the building. All computer servers in the building will be unavailable. Users will not have access to any internal data, even users home directories. The departments VPN will be down.

UMail is not affected by building power loss, so users will still have Email access remotely.

Since neither climate control or the fire alarm system will have power during this downtime, access to the building will be limited to electricians and technicians only during this maintenance.
